This wonderful Victorian miniature suit of armor is beautifully-made, and is fully articulated. It represents early 16th c. Maximilian style jousting armor, and stands 45 cm tall on its oak base. The patina on this piece is rich and uniform Every part of the armor is riveted, and exhibits all the appropriate movements. The visor lifts, the poleyns and couters bend, even the joints on the gauntlet fingers are articulated. The knight is holding a two-handed sword. A great 19th c. representation of the 16th c. European jousting armor!
