This 18th or very early 19th c. Albacete knife or cuchillo o punal albaceteno antigua is mounted with a 21 cm-long blade, which has a pronounced 10 cm double-edge at the foible. Knife is 31 cm-long overall.Blade is inlaid with brass plaques at the forte, decorated en suite with the brass sheath. Having a sheath remaining together with the knife is rather rare, for its kind, and significantly adds to the value. Blade has some bites of rusts and discoloration, but is still very nice overall, as is the knife itself, which is tight, and feels just right in the hand. Both halves of the typical Albacete barrel-shaped handle are tight together. An excellent late 18th c. example!
